Covenant Trust Company was slated to move from Chicago, Illinois to a suburban location. Their storage needs were varied and included consideration for private offices, administrative areas, central records, and general office supplies. An outdated and fragmented filing system of 24,000 records was to be housed in new lateral cabinets until their Aurora dealer proposed a more efficient and customized solution for the entire office. read more
Northwestern University
Northwestern University is located in a constricted urban setting where every bit of space counts. The university library could no longer adequately contain its expanding book collection, so a decision was made to use a former parking garage for book storage. This unusual building posed some challenges. read more
Teamsters Headquarters
Teamsters Local 731 planned to build a modern facility in the Chicago suburb of Burr Ridge. The new storage and filing system would have to be in keeping with the architect’s vision for the entire building. Aesthetics were a great concern; the new system would have to blend into the beautifully appointed building that contained Italian marble and rich mahogany woods. System safety was a consideration because multiple staffers would be working simultaneously in the aisles. Pension and payroll records were to be kept in the system so security was important as well. read more
Shook, Hardy & Bacon, LLP World Headquarters
Shook, Hardy & Bacon needed multiple filing and storage systems in its world headquarters being completed in Kansas City by the nationally recognized architectural firm of HNTB. Opting for all new systems, the company wanted to store a great variety of items: legal filing in pocket folders, boxes, 3-ring binders, legal books, notebooks, presentation material, mock evidence, exhibits, and poster-sized photographs. The filing requirement alone equated to over nine miles of files.
